Por considderar DVDs e outros recursos audio visuais uma ferramenta poderosa para o ensino de idiomas, estou sempre à procura de novas estratégias para trabalhar com cenas de filmes em sala de aula. Recentemente, bolei uma atividade que deu super certo e que compartilho, agora, com vocês.

Para esta atividade, utilizei as duas primeiras cenas do filme "Casamento Grego": mostrei aos alunos as cenas em inglês, sem legendas. Depois, entreguei a eles um texto que supostamente seria o resumo das cenas vistas. O "problema" é que o texto continha alguns equívocos (para ser mais exata, sete erros), que os alunos precisavam encontrar e corrigir.

É claro que a mesma estratégia pode ser usada com outros filmes, mas se você desejar usar o mesmo, o texto que eu entreguei aos alunos dizia o seguinte:

Mr. Portakolos is very proud of being Greek. He thinks all the words in the English language come from Greek. Arachnophobia, for example, comes from the Greek words for arachno, spider, and phobia, fear. He thinks Kimono comes from the Greek word cheimôn, which means "robe". Toula is also proud of being Greek, and she likes being different from other people. Toula works in the family restaurant because she is forty years old and she's not married. Toula's brother is the manager of the restaurant. Toula's mother wants to send her to Greece to find a husband, and she's really happy about it.

Os sete erros do resumo são os seguintes:

1. The Greek word Cheimon means winter, not robe.

2. Toula is not proud of being Greek.

3. She doesn't like being different from other people.

4. Toula is 30 years old.

5. Toula's brother is a cook in the restaurant.

6. Toula's father is the one who wants to send her to Greece.

7. Toula doesn't want to go to Greece to find a husband.

O que eu mais gostei da atividade é que ela é "trivolt": pratica a compreensão (listening comprehension), leitura e escrita.
